Love this little guy. The sweet soft skin, that full head of hair, his gentle smile, and, I have to say, even the tiny little tear drops in his eyes.

Even Lily can’t resist his baby charms…

Yikes – here it is 2010 and I’m already off and running with sessions! Before I get into posting my most recent sessions, I thought I’d share some from the end of ‘09 that I never got a chance to post. I’d like to say that one of my resolutions for 2010 is to be a more reliable blogger, but I don’t want to jinx myself! So, let’s just say that I look forward to meeting lots of new faces in the coming year and sharing them with all of you.
In the meantime, Miss Eleni – no stranger to the seedlings blog, but this time with greater mobility and just a little bit more sass!

Thanks to the K family and all of my 2009 clients for a wonderful year!

We had a perfect autumn day for this session and looking at the photos, all I can think is what a beautiful family this is, both inside and out. I think Mom and Dad already know it and I’m sure the little ones will realize it one day too.

Thank you for welcoming me back, M family!

So thrilled to have another session with this fabulous and beautiful family! I met Sam as a newborn last year and he sure has grown into SUCH a cutie! I have to be careful with what I share here this time of year as most clients want to save pics for their holiday cards, but I thought I could get away with showing these few. This first one especially cracks me up…

Yeah, mom is gorgeous right? Not only do I get to see the babies grow up…I get to see women grow to be beautiful mothers and men grow to be proud fathers. My job is good.
Thanks so much to the H family for inviting me to see how you’ve grown!
where big brother pretends he doesn’t want to get too close to the little sister who just adores him to pieces. But the love is there and I can just see these two several years from now when things have changed… little sister has a line of would-be suitors and suddenly big brother wants to stay really close to protect her. I wonder if she’ll still adore him then? Either way, I’m sure that sibling love will still be strong on the inside. Here are a just a few of these two beautiful, joyful siblings whom I had the privilege of capturing recently.

Thanks so much to the T family for having me come play for bit!
The busy Fall season is here and it certainly hasn’t been afraid to make it’s presence known. I love so many things about this season…the colors, the crunchy leaves, the smells (like the apple pie I baked yesterday!), and the holidays, including my son’s birthday and my own! I love it all…right up until things get icy. So…I enjoyed spending most of a recent session outside amidst the fall scenery. Here a quick few to share.

Thanks to D and A (and Sydney!) for a fun session – I hope you’re enjoying this season of change before your lives are forever changed by your little guy’s arrival!

Just a quick update to let you know that I will be on vacation for the next week…visiting family and celebrating my 5 year wedding anniversary with a return to the Big Apple where my husband and I were engaged. Yay! I will have limited access to email and voicemail, but will certainly get back to any inquiries upon my return.
I’ll leave you with a couple recent images of my little seedling. I LOVE doing close-close-ups of newborns – ears, puckered lips, eyelashes, super-soft hair… they’re a great subject since they don’t move much. Overactive toddlers…not so much, but my little guy was captivated long enough for me to snap a few of his inquisitive face.

Why, yes! Yes they can. Friend and colleague Andrea Roberts of Andrea Roberts Photography in Columbus, OH, recently had the opportunity to beta test the fabulous new photo texturing program from Totally Rad Actions called Dirty Pictures. Lucky me – she used one of my photos in the process. Below is a before and after.
Clean…

Dirty…

Take a look at Andrea’s blog to see a variety of applications on images from fabulous photographers from across the country. Sometimes, getting dirty is a good thing!

Finally getting around to sharing some photos here of little Seneca. I always think of the children’s tale Babes in the Woods when I think of her because her family lives in a house nestled neatly in the woods. Unfortunately, the weather on the day of her session was not very newborn friendly so we didn’t get to venture out of doors. She was a sweet little model, nonetheless. Congrats again to the new parents on your beautiful addition!
